September 22-23 2005 Petten, The Netherlands

Over 60 researchers from all eight partner institutes met at ECN in Petten, The Netherlands, to discuss joint research ideas that can move Bioenergy NoE forward after 18 months running.  Highlights included:  

• presentations from researchers
• eight parallel workshops on joint research topics
• site visit to the City of Amerstam's Waste and Energy Company
• presentation of ERA-NET Bioenergy by Co-ordinator, Kees Kwant

September 20-21 2004 Karlsruhe, Germany

The first ever Bioenergy NoE Researchers' Meeting aimed to enhance interaction between researchers in the project.  58 researchers attended to learn more about each partner institute's expertise, NoE work package progress and to discuss barriers to bioenergy use and R&D goals.  Participants were given a tour of Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe's research facilities by host, Juergen Vehlow.
