Carbon Capture and Storage
Description :
This seminar will be a timely opportunity to assess the requirements for Carbon
Capture and Storage (CCS) deployment in the UK following the publication of the
Government's 2050 CCS Roadmap. Planned sessions consider the key features of the first £1
billion government-backed CCS demonstration project, including discussion on the
technical challenges and overall feasibility of post-combustion CCS. The seminar
will also explore the next steps for Demonstrations 2-4 and consider the
barriers that the Government and key CCS stakeholders will have to overcome in
order to make the technology commercially viable in the UK.
