• Bioenergy Network of Excellence is sponsored by the European Commission?s DG Research under the Sixth Framework Program 
• Total funding is 8 million Euros for five years
• Bioenergy NoE began on 1st January 2004 and will run for five years (until 31st December 2008)
• Bioenergy NoE's main goal is to extend its activities to continue joint R&D beyond the initial five years of funding
