CFB and BFB fluidised bed pilot plants

VTT has a pilot CFB and a pilot BFB reactor.  The pilot reactors are used for fuel combustion characterisation - combustion and ash behaviour, gas profile, temperature profile, material behaviour at fluidized bed conditions.  The experimental work is very closely connected to modelling and simulation work created for those pilot plants.

Technical Information CFB BFB

Temperature, ?C  700 - 950 870 - 1100
