BIVKIN air-blown circulating fluidised bed gasifier
The BIVKIN at ECN is an atmospheric circulated fluidised bed (CFB) gasifier used in R&D projects for:
- Characterisation of behaviour of fuels during gasification
- Generation of fuel gas for testing of downstream gas clean-up processes
- Testing of integrated systems for the production of heat & power from biomass
A large number of different feedstocks have been used in the BIVKIN including willow, demolition wood, chicken manure and straw.
